Reduce or improve the ad layout
I used to be a loyal user, but now I can't stand to use your website. I'm not trying to unload negativity, but it really is that bad. There are ads everywhere. Laying on the words, duplicates of ads on the sides, ads in the way of the view. It's offensive to anyone who tries to use it. I will not be using this site until it gets put back under control.

words that go together
Hello there, I often come across words that go together. For example, efficiency and effectiveness, performance and productivity, rapport and relationship. They are not synonyms. They could be collocations. I had a look but could not find a site that provides such a service. I use 'Power Thesaurus' everyday. Would it be possible to provide that service. If it is not possible would you be kind enough to suggest some solutions or sites that provide them. thanks and regards sajeer
3 votesThere is a list for that. It’s called “related”. You may enable it via side menu on desktop or list menu on mobile.
We plan to more detailed descriptions to the lists in following release.

Please please focus on the quality of the results
I'm an old user for PowerThesaurus where I use it to get fancy words for my research papers since English is NOT my first language. However, It is very clear that the quality of synonyms the past couple of months is getting worse. It's like Trump is suggesting the synonyms for me.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
The results are sorted by rating that is given by site users.
Also, all terms and their synonyms / antonyms have Report feature that allows to trigger invalid terms for manual review.
We also make the voting more prominent in next release. This should improve the quality of results as registered users will be able to vote more.

The focus is there for desktop.
On mobile having a focus would trigger keyboard to appear and that might be different to what is expected.

Please return the search bar to it's 'type-and-go' interface.
Bring back the way it would auto-select the previous searched word, so when switching quickly back and forth to search multiple searches, and tabs, you don't have to go through the extra trouble of erasing the previous word, to search the new one.
I keep searching frankenwords, and hate having to 'ctrl-a' every time I switch pages. As a writer, it ruins the flow.

Remove "sex offender" as a synonym for "sexual orientation"
Not only is this inaccurate, but also extremely offensive and harmful to members that identify with non-standard sexual orientations. Please update this entry to remove "sex offender" from this entry.

Premium Power Thesaurus
Please offer a premium side that removes ads and gives more client-specific customization (search history, suggested words, personal vocabulary, etc)

Add a way to clean search history.
Essentially the recent search history, while I'm aware goes away with time, is still clutter, especially if I want to keep Chrome open with the tab open. I'd like if there was a button of some type, or a SHIFT+DEL type of keyboard shortcut, where you could delete all or individual search history results you no longer need. This is important due to the fact it eventually starts clogging the results, making it hard to find certain words. Ideally, I'd like to think an option to simply not save search history would be nice as well.

Remove irrelevant, non-synonym words for the entry for "deeds"
Muhammad, allah, scriptures and quran are not synonyms for the word "deeds." No one intending to describe works or actions (or any other meaning of the word deeds) is going to use them. "She was a good neighbor, regularly performing good scriptures/muhammad/allah/quran for them." These should be removed from the list as they are no unsuitable replacements and by no means synonyms for "deeds." Very strange that they would be included.

Please note that Power Thesaurus is a crowdsourced thesaurus. Any user can suggest new terms and upvote/downvote the list items. We have reviewed the synonyms for the word “deeds” mentioned in your message and the questionable ones have been removed now.

Keep recent searches without losing them
I searched a hundred words with synonyms, then the next couple of days, I lose my recent searches, unable to search them back due to remembering problems. This idea allows me to keep recent searches without losing them due to updates or errors.

Be mindful of fairness in words describing men versus women.
I looked up the phrase "wise old woman" and got no word list but only some web pages, including one describing crones. So I looked for synonyms for that, and they were all very negative, e.g. shrew, although crone is used by modern women to mean wise woman. I then looked up "wise old man" and got a lengthy list of wonderful synonyms--savant, philosopher, mastermind, etc. Women can be those things too, you know.

Thew new takeover ad blocks the search bar and makes this site unusable.
Do a sidebar ad, or any ad which doesn't prevent the key features of the site from being used.

Suggested synonym for 'authorities' or an authority: How about 'mastermind?'
